Healthy Vegan Chocolate Recipe

3 Ingredient Healthy Chocolate

10 minutes to prepare - 1 hour to set - Makes 15


1 cup grated raw cacao butter or raw extra virgin coconut oil (or a combination of ½ a cup of each)
¼ cup cacao powder
1-2 tablespoons maple syrup (you can start with a little and adjust the sweetness to your taste)

Add the cocoa butter and/or coconut oil to a double boiler over low heat until just melted.
Remove from heat and add the cacao powder and maple syrup. Use a whisk to mix until well combined.
Pour into chocolate molds or mini cupcake baking cups.
Place in the freezer immediately to set (roughly 1 hour).
Once set, keep in an airtight container in either the fridge or freezer.

Add roasted chopped nuts, cacao nibs, goji berries, crushed coffee beans or desiccated coconut before you pour into molds and set in freezer.

Note: Because both coconut oil and cacao butter melt when exposed to even a little heat, the chocolates need to be kept cold e.g. pack an ice brick or similar to keep them cold if taking to a picnic or event.
